What better way to provide the guitar forum I frequent with a tone sample of my new guitar than to actually play it, and post it on youTube. If only to see whether or not I can. I’m sure there’ll be a million comments from the cool kids tomorrow morning all saying “you suck” or “You’ve got sweaty palms!”. Tell me something I don’t already know. More here.
First real pass at a tune based on the Metalish work in progress of last week. I think it could use some vocals, perhaps courtesay of the ever brave Adam P. ?
I’ve tried and tried to get this track to sound right. It just doesn’t. Structurally it’s much better than it’s original incarnation, but for the life of me I’ve not managed to get the guitar tones to match up. As a result it just doesn’t gel, you can hear the different takes. Oh well. Be done with it and move on.
The folks behind Riffworks now allow you to post your tracks for free on what they call Riffcaster. In an effort to further humiliate myself I’ve started posting my tunes there. Maybe I’ll learn something. One minor annoyance, once you post a tune, you can’t delete it. So if there’s something wrong with it that you never immediately noticed then it’s there for all the world to hear, and you end up with multiple revisions of the same song. Maybe they’ll add an edit feature some day. Check it out my Riffcaster Library.
